Privacy Policy

Hairspring is a clock. It does not collect, store or share personal data, and it has no server to send anything to.

What Hairspring does

Hairspring is a native clock for Apple Watch and Apple TV. It reads the system time and draws it. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking SDKs, and nothing is sent to a server operated by the developer.

What stays on your device

Your face selection, colours, format, dimming and end-time preferences are stored locally on the device. On Apple TV they are kept in the app's own preferences; on Apple Watch in the app's local storage. Removing the app removes them.

Network use

The clocks run offline and need no network. The only network activity comes from the App Store itself when a purchase is made, restored or verified. Hairspring does not operate a purchase server, an analytics endpoint or a sync service.

Purchases

The Apple TV unlock is bought through the App Store. Apple handles payment and billing; Hairspring only learns whether the unlock is active and receives no payment details. The Apple Watch app is free.

Permissions

Hairspring requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, health or photo access. It does not read any data beyond the system time.

Children, tracking and advertising

Hairspring contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking technologies, and it does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
